Wendy Andreu studied at the École Boulle in Paris before finishing her training at the Design Academy of Eindhoven in the Netherlands in 2016. During the confinement, the designer, who favors the slow process of hand work, pursued her exploration of materials and techniques. The Dragon Chair is a one-off piece, made from a wooden mold upon which she arranged a winding cord, and then covered with silicone. This method, invented by the designer, is part of her research begun in 2014 on the impermeable material Regen (“rain” in Dutch), which was an immediate success both in the furniture and the fashion worlds.
