Martin Szekely, who trained at the Ecole Boulle advocates work with clear and graphic lines. The lounger from the Pi collection (from the name of the designer’s dentist), a furniture series created between 1982 and 1985 while he had a carte blanche from the VIA, contributed to his reputation. The lounger, designed in 1982 is especially remarkable for its refined silhouette and black colour that emphasizes its graphic aspect.
