The person responsible for the group must be aware of the following rules and regulations, applicable to all visitors to the Arts Décoratifs and Nissim de Camondo museums.

Terms and conditions applicable to self-guided group visits to the Musée des Arts Décoratifs

Here are the main steps in booking a self-guided tour of the Arts Décoratifs:

1. Reserve online 2. Arrive 15 minutes early 3. At ticket control, present your ticket, your professional card and justification of your reduced rate if applicable 4. You will be given a badge which authorizes your visit (and audio guides if necessary) 5. Your badge must remain visible for the duration of your time at the museum.

RESERVATION FEE

All self-guided groups and those accompanied by outside guides must pay a 35€ reservation fee which includes access to audio guides

According to the rules and regulations of the Arts Décoratifs museums, only the following guides are allowed to speak inside the museum:
• Guides holding a professional card delivered by the French Ministries of Tourism and Culture and Communication,
• Guides employed by one of the French national museums,
• Curators of French or foreign museums in possession of a professional card,
• Guides employed by the Centre des Monuments Nationaux,
• Professors at the École du Louvre and other French and/or foreign educational personnel leading student groups,
• Cultural facilitators leading their group.

The following groups are exonerated from the reservation fee (upon presentation of valid proof of situation)
• School and after-school groups,
• Social welfare groups,
• Groups of persons with disabilities and their carers,
• Groups visiting from hospitals, retirement homes, and other specialized institutions.

Hours for Self-Guided Groups

In order to insure the most comfortable conditions for our visitors, we welcome self-guided groups at the following times:

Musée des Arts Décoratifs
• Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12 pm to 2 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm
• Thursday from 12 pm to 2 pm and 3 pm to 6pm for permanent collections and 9 pm for temporary exhibitions
• Saturday from 11am to 1 pm
The museum is closed on Mondays
Musée Nissim de Camondo
• Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 am to 11 am, from 12 pm to 2 pm and from 3 pm to 5:30 pm
• Saturday from 10 am to 13 pm
The museum is closed Mondays and Tuesdays

Entrance fees and reservation policies vary, depending on your group’s category.

Schools, higher education, social programs, persons with disabilities, medical groups

1/ Reserve your tickets online choose your desired date and time and the number of participants:

Type of ticket: choose “Billet groupes en visite libre”  (Ticket for Self-Guided Groups) for the desired date and time;

Size of group by time slot: minimum 5 people, maximum 20 (including the person or persons accompanying the group)
An exception is made for school groups and university students for whom the maximum is raised to 30 students to accommodate the entire class.

A maximum of 5 people accompanying the group is accepted per activity, with a minimum of:
• 1 person per 10 students for all school groups of children aged 3 to 14-years-old
• 1 person per 15 students for students above the age of 15

Fees: Museum entry is FREE upon presentation of an identity or professional card that corresponds to the type of free entry mentioned on your ticket.

You will find here the list of acceptable cards which you will be asked to provide, depending on the category of your group. If you do not have proper identification to account for your free status, your entry to the museum will be refused and you will need to purchase tickets at the museum or online.

Exoneration of the Reservation Fee: according to the rules and regulations of the des Arts Décoratifs and Nissim de Camondo museums, certain guides are allowed to speak and exonerated from the reservation fee (audio guides will not be provided for their group):

• Teachers with their students,
• Professors from the École du Louvre with their students,
• Leaders of socio-cultural groups

Your professional card, or education voucher, must be presented at the entry to the museum as proof of your status.

2/ Please arrive 15 minutes early to put your belongings in the coatroom and proceed to the collections.

3/ At ticket control, show your tickets and your proof of free entrance.

4/ Ask museum staff for your authorized visitor badge which must remain visible during your visit and presented to museum personnel if necessary. This badge authorizes you to speak before your group at the time, and in the space, indicated.

For Groups with an Outside Guide

1/ Book your tickets online choose your desired date and time and the number of participants:

Type of ticket: choose the “Billet groupes en visite libre” (Ticket for Self-Guided Groups) for the date and time slot you require; Size of group by time slot: minimum 5 people, maximum 20 (including the person or persons accompanying the group)

Fees:  35 € reservation fee per group + museum entrance fee per person.

This reservation fee is valid for the length of your visit (1h30) in the reserved space. It gives you the authorisation to guide your group in the space reserved for you.

Your professional card must be presented at the museum entrance as proof of your status.

Any person or persons wishing to speak to their group during a group visit, and not belonging to one of the categories previously mentioned, must send a written request explaining the reason they wish to guide their group to the head of visitor services, isabelle.grassart@madparis.fr, before making their online reservation.

To guarantee the comfort of our visitors, we strongly encourage the use of audio guides by adult groups. They are available free of charge and no reservation is necessary beforehand for groups that have paid a reservation fee (you may also, of course, use your own audio guides.)

2/ Please arrive 15 minutes early to put your belongings in the coatroom and proceed to the collections.

3/ At ticket control, present your tickets and your professional card which must remain visible throughout your group’s visit.

4/ Ask museum staff for your authorized visitor badge which must remain visible during your visit and presented to museum personnel if necessary. This badge authorizes you to speak before your group at the time and in the space indicated.

5/ Head to the audio guides desk to pick up your audio guides. The person responsible for the group will need to leave an identity car in exchange for the audio guides which will be returned when the devices are brought back. The person responsible for the group will be held responsible in the event of damaged or missing equipment.
