The carving in the wood of this chair creates a tapestry effect. The reverse of the all-wood chair back is decorated with small crosses interspersed with florets and features a medallion bearing the letters JD. The armrests end in rams’ heads, and the X-shaped legs end in claws. The chair came from the collection of Comte Isaac de Camondo, Moïse de Camondo’s cousin.
