From soft-paste to hard-paste porcelain

A selection of pieces from the museum’s rich collection of porcelain illustrates the extraordinary development of porcelain production in eighteenth-century France. It features creations by factories including Saint Cloud, Chantilly, Villeroy-Mennecy, Sceaux, Vincennes, Sèvres and Paris, with pride of place reserved for the Vincennes-Sèvres factory whose influence was unique.
