For the first years of her life, Fanny lived with her parents in her grandfather Moïse’s house at 63, rue de Monceau – she later liked to say she was born in a museum! They moved to Neuilly-sur-Seine in 1924.

She was introduced to horse riding at an early age by her mother, whom she accompanied on hunting expeditions, becoming an excellent horsewoman. The last photo of her shows her at a show jumping competition, in August 1942.

A few months later she was arrested and interned in the Drancy camp with her parents and brother. She was deported to Auschwitz with her father and brother on November 20, 1943, on convoy 62.
