À la capucine wood paneling, c. 1730

A beautiful à la capucine (natural oak) wood paneling ornately carved with bindweed, from a dining room created in the 1730s for a Parisian mansion, provides the backdrop for a central display case presenting a regularly changed selection of tableware (ceramic, silver and glass). The current display features faience and porcelain pieces with a trompe-l’œil decoration of animals, fruits and vegetables.
