The fashion designer and founder of Comme des Garçons launched in Japan in 1973, Rei Kawakubo, began the production of furniture in 1987 under her own brand. She designed furniture in itself as the intention to create a balance, a new gravity, like a second piece of clothing that surrounds someone. If the furniture features the contrast of materials, it is as minimalist as her show-rooms, as asymmetrical and pure as her clothes. When they have numbers, are they planned to parade?
