This screen was commissioned in 1920 by Comte Aubaret. Purchased in 1957 by Charlotte Mare, the artist’s wife, it passed into the collection of their son, Michel Mare. It was bought by the Musée des Arts Décoratifs at the succession sale of Michel Mare in 1992.
