The Garden

The garden, at the rear of the museum and adjoining the Parc Monceau, was designed at the beginning of the 20th century by the landscape gardner Achille Duchêne. It has an exceptional view of the mansion’s north façade, inspired by the Petit Trianon at Versailles. During the summer months, a reception in the garden can follow or precede an enchanting visit of this sumptuous residence dedicated to the French art of living. Drinks can be served after visiting the museum and a tent can be erected for exceptional events.

The Hall & the Kitchen

Guests arriving at Moïse de Camondo’s mansion were welcomed in the Hall. The Hall and Gallery are on the same level as the main courtyard; the other parts of the Lower Ground Floor are half underground on the garden side, and house the service areas. Moïse de Camondo was a lover of good food and devoted particular attention to his Kitchen, which is particularly spectacular. Today, visitors can enter it straight from the hall. The Kitchen is actually a series of basement rooms, designed for maximum efficiency.
